Martínez Brace Leads Inter's Five-Goal Demolition of Roma at San Siro

MILANO, Italy — Inter Milan's title credentials were never in doubt heading into this Serie A clash at San Siro, but the manner of their 5-2 demolition of AS Roma on Saturday left little room for debate. The turning point, if one moment could be singled out, was Çalhanoglu's stoppage-time strike just before the break. Roma had fought back to parity and appeared to be growing in confidence, but that clinical finish — struck with such conviction from distance — deflated the visitors entirely. The second half felt inevitable from that moment, with Inter's quality and depth proving far too much for a Roma side that had already shown defensive vulnerabilities in recent weeks.
